Sewing Lessons

Kyla, my 2-year-old granddaughter, has watched me sew for her whole life. I know her earliest memories of me will be at the sewing machine.

Today, she climbed up into my chair, positioned her hands on the fabric and probably would have stepped on the pedal if her little feet could touch the floor.  It's obvious that she's been watching me closely. She seemed to know exactly what to do!

I picked her up and sat her in my lap as I worked on some orders today. She sat quietly and as I started to stitch she laid her little hand on mine. My sweet little helper!  One day she will be doing this all by herself.
