Adorning a Tree with Gratitude

The weather was too inviting this weekend to stay inside so I did some weeding and planting in my vegetable garden. I've looked out my family room window many times the last couple of months and wished that more was planted so that we will have much more to harvest in the months to come. To tell you the truth, it would have been so much easier for me to sleep away the afternoon because of another miserable head cold but I knew that the fresh air would do me some good!

As usual, once I got involved in the project the motivation to keep going grew and sitting on the couch with a box of tissue and a cup of tea lost its appeal.

At the end of several hours I finally got all my plants into the ground and the thought of a wish tree in my garden sounded like a great idea. But then I remembered a conversation with a friend who was using each of the 40 days of Lent to count 40 things she is grateful for. So I was inspired to turn my tree into a place where I would collect my words/phrases of gratitude.

Today.....I created a "happy" place!
My garden is thriving and my words of gratitude are dancing on the branches of my little tree!
